NOTE: - Time sensitive - to all Minnesotans -- action required.

Gov. Dayton and the dems that control the house and senate here in MN have proposed 3 measures that go beyond both Feinstein"s and New York"s restrictions. There are hearings at the MN state capital on Tues, Wed, and Thurs of this week. Write or call MN state legislators to oppose any infringements on 2A? Members in Western WI please try to attend the hearings this week.

HF240 - This bill proposed a huge potential to violate HIPPA and personal privacy laws. Also, a person can be declared mentally ineligble for a firearm without due process of the law.

HF241 - This bill is the stiffest restrictions on 2A rights currently in play nationwide. Annual background checks at the citizen's expense, no grandfathering, all weapons with detachable magazines, any weapon bequested to an heir has to be either disabled permanently or surrendered to law enforcement for destruction. In a couple of generations there will be few if any weapons remaining with detachable magazines.

HF242 - These bills are the oppressive magazine limitations. Penalty for possession of one of a defined "large capacity magazine" is felony punishable by 5 years in jail and/or $25,000 fine. Cruel and unusual punishment? What about Ex Post Facto?

HF238-239 -- removes the school parking lot exemption for Carry Permit holders (i.e. you can have it in your car in the parking lot of a school); adds firearms confiscation in addition to tresspassing charge for violating "no guns allowed" signs on private property.

What part of "shall not be infringed" do they not understand. Not one of these measures will deter a criminal or a psychlogically deranged person, just law abiding citizens.

Thank you, David Seffren
