RACIST ROOTS OF "GUN CONTROL" EXPOSED!

ITS PAYBACK TIME:

ACTION NEEDED TO DESTROY "GUN CONTROL"!

Aaron Zelman has requested me to send this to the e-mail subscribers, in hopes of encouraging you to become pro-active, instead of re-active.

Too many whine of the problems we face, while too few actually do anything about the problem. Let the letters to the editor serve as an example of what we must DO, instead of how we must whine. MAKE TIME to read this ALERT completely!

THINGS TO DO TO EXPOSE THE RACIST ROOTS OF "GUN CONTROL"

The Tar & Feather Strategy:

1. Write a letter to influential public people and entities, enclosing a booklet, and challenging them to publicly condemn "gun control" laws as racist.

2. If the person or entity fails to respond, then Continue pressuring them for a response, asking why they have not taken a strong stand against racism. Let their rivals and competitors know that they have failed to condemn racist policies. Publicize the fact that you have made this challenge and the person or entity has failed to respond.

3. If the person or entity rejects your challenge and reaffirms a pro-"gun control" position, then publicize their support for racism-based "gun control" laws,

a) in letters to newspapers and magazines

b) on call-in talk shows

c) at town meetings

d) in campaign literature

e) in political action committee advertisements

f) in Internet and computer bulletin board postings

g) with flyers

h) in news releases and press conferences

The Educate & Motivate Strategy:

1. Send a letter and a copy of the booklet to people whose "gun control" views you don't yet know:

a) Newspaper editors

b) Radio/TV station managers

c) Talk-show hosts

d) On-air personalities

e) Black (and other) owners of businesses

f) Local politicians (city, county, state)

g) Gun shop owners

h) Rabbis, priests, pastors who have taken stands on public issues Doctors, dentists, lawyers, accountants, professionals of all kinds

2. Respond to all pro-"gun control" editorials and radio/TV programs by sending a letter and a booklet.

3. Gun club members:

Give a booklet to every member of your gun club. At your next formal meeting, make a motion to pass a resolution that condemns "gun control" as racist. Distribute the resolution as a news release statewide. Press the club's leaders to have the club buy and help distribute the "Gun Control" is Racist booklets statewide.

4. Place booklets for free distribution at gun shops and shooting ranges. (Suggest the managers hand out a booklet with each purchase.)

IMPORTANT: Do not call people "racist," because that is inflammatory name-calling. Challenge people instead by pointing out that they support racist policies. Their support for racist policies, an objective fact, can ruin their reputations and careers -- especially when publicized.

Sample Letter to Person or Entity (304 words)

Dear ______________:

I was shocked to learn that you publicly support enacting laws that have roots in America's racist past. Perhaps you were unaware that "gun control" programs in America were developed first to help slavemasters control their Negro slaves. Later, the same kinds of laws were used to keep free Black people "in their place."

State governments used "gun control" laws to support racism before and after the Civil War. There were laws to ban firearms, to require licensing and registration of firearms and firearms owners, and to impose high taxes on guns and ammunition. To possess a firearm in some states, Black people had to get approval from either their master, the police, or a judge. Some laws allowed warrantless "gun sweeps" of private homes -- the homes of Black people, whether slave or free.

These "gun control" laws effectively disarmed Black people and left them defenseless against criminal and racist attack. And attacked they were, suffering 3,446 lynchings and uncountable other abuses and terrorism that held Black people in a state of constant fear. To oppose the civil rights movement of the 1950's and 1960's, the Ku Klux Klan terrorized and lynched unarmed Black people and their white supporters.

Given the racist roots of "gun control" laws, I am surprised that you would favor these tools of slavery and racial oppression. "Gun control" laws work to disarm innocent poor people, immigrants, and other minorities. Meanwhile, the politically-connected, the criminals, and the terrorists are fully armed. (The Ku Klux Klan ruled supreme in areas where the Klan knew that Black people were unarmed and could not protect their homes and families.) Could you kindly explain why you favor these racism-based laws that effectively discriminate against certain groups?

I enclose a booklet that documents the racist roots of "gun control," and I await your response.

Sample Letter to the Editor (285 words)

Dear Editor:

Your recent editorial supporting "gun control" laws disappointingly failed to inform your readers about the racist roots of those laws. People should know that American "gun control" laws were first created to make sure Black people could not revolt or escape from slavery.

After the Civil War, former slave-states devised more "gun control" laws. Disarmed by these laws, free Black people were defenseless against repressive police and racist attacks. Over 3,700 Black people were lynched, and thousands of others were assaulted, intimidated and terrorized by the Ku Klux Klan and racist mobs.

Today's "gun control" laws are just like those which the slaveholders and Klansmen supported. Here is a sampling: Gun bans in slave states (Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi) and after the Civil War (Alabama, South Carolina). License and registration requirements before the Civil War (Florida, Delaware) and after (Mississippi, Louisiana). Post-Civil War bans on inexpensive guns (Tennessee, Arkansas), and special high taxes and fees on guns (Alabama, Texas). Warrantless searches of Black people's homes to look for firearms (pre-Civil War Florida).

Florida Supreme Court Justice Buford, writing his 1941 opinion in Watson v. Stone, admitted that Florida's "gun control" law "was passed for the purpose of disarming the Negro laborers... The statute was never intended to be applied to the white population and in practice has never been so applied."

"Gun control" laws are designed to disarm the minorities, the poor, and the disfavored people in society. Once they are defenseless, these people become the victims of racist and criminal attacks. Right-thinking Americans must resist and overturn all of these racism-rooted "gun control" schemes. As "gun control" comes from racism and bigotry, I challenge your newspaper to explain why it supports such a policy.

Very truly yours,

P.S. The enclosed booklet "Gun Control" Is Racist lists many of the pre- and post-Civil War racist "gun control" laws.

Sample Letter to Businesses & Organizations (409 words)

Dear _________:

I am writing to you today to ask whether you and your organization support racist "gun control" laws. Many Americans do not realize that "gun control" laws were first created to keep Black people powerless and enslaved. This racist purpose continued after the Civil War, when former slave-states devised more "gun control" laws.

Check pages 19 & 20 of the enclosed booklet entitled "Gun Control" is Racist. You will see many of these racist "gun control" laws, and how they are just like the types being enacted today. You will also see the references to readily-obtainable legal and historical sources that document these facts.

Here are some examples. There were gun bans in slave states (Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Mississippi) and after the Civil War (Alabama, South Carolina). License and registration requirements were enacted both before the Civil War (Florida, Delaware) and after (Mississippi, Louisiana). Post-Civil War bans on inexpensive guns (Tennessee, Arkansas), and special high taxes and fees on guns (Alabama, Texas), are like many of today's proposed laws. Warrantless searches of Black people's homes to look for firearms (pre-Civil War Florida) are comparable to "gun sweeps" in government housing projects.

The undeniable facts of history show that American "gun control" comes from racism and bigotry.

Now that you are fully-informed about the racist roots of "gun control," would you and your organization be willing to publicly declare your opposition to these racist laws? Our association is compiling a list of persons and organizations who support racist "gun control" laws, and those who oppose such laws. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Very truly yours,
